iCatalysts leads collaborative research projects that help illuminate and catalyze ideas and initiatives to apply innovation and advanced technology to improve our future.
Our researchers support foundations and government agencies to study and develop stakeholder-based solutions to energy and climate challenges.
For example, we are leading market transformation research for the California Energy Commission’s “Innovation Benefits” study. Recently, we led a study on the case for climate preparedness for the San Diego Foundation, one of the largest community foundations in the United States.
Our researchers are also lead policy and stakeholder work on the Port of Oakland’s Energy Innovation study. This study helped the Port understand what clean energy and energy efficiency investments and procurement decisions are needed to meet its climate and sustainability goals over the next 15 years.
For the Kauffman Foundation in collaboration with the National Science Foundation, we studied the impact of innovation and entrepreneurship programs at over 33 universities and private accelerators.
