Under contracts funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC) we have:

• Designed and manage Empower Innovation – a grants and business development marketplace platform.  Empower Innovation has featured over $80B in funding and has over 4,500 members in 45 states and 15 countries.
• Created  and manage the Network Analyzer –  innovation cluster/ecosystem mapping and analysis software.    The Network Analyzer is being used to map and analyze startups, startup accelerators,  investors and local economic development programs  by region in California and Michigan.

For the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), we managed a project to develop Excel-based tools to measure market transformation in energy efficiency, electric vehicle (EV) adoption, grid modernization,  grid resiliency, and clean energy regional ecosystem and economic development.  Also, for NYSERDA, we evaluated analytical and mapping techniques including data and network science.

For the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), we led a study to benchmark 10 utilities nationwide on digital solutions used for customer facing energy management and renewables programs. 

For the States of Hawaii, Ohio and Pennsylvania, our experts led the development and launch of clean energy (energy efficiency and renewables) technical assistance and financial incentives (e.g., rebates) platforms that customized Salesforce software.  

We use a formal needs assessment, requirements and design documentation, development management and testing approach developed over 25 years with large clients, including AT&T. In our work, we use sophisticated AI tools including web crawlers, data science techniques, and large language models (e.g., ChatGPT). 

ICatalysts consultants work hand in hand with clients to scope, plan and execute projects.   When desired by clients, our stakeholder management experts engage internal and external stakeholders in projects.
